"Similarly, Braylon Edwards is one of those players who is currently being viewed by several teams. Teams like Washington Redskins have shown interest in acquiring his services however their attention is wavering.

If Edwards joins Redskins, he would be accompanied by Asomugha who received a warm welcome by team mates at gathered at Redskins Park. Asomugha inked a 5 year contract with Redskins this Friday however his position on the squad is not clear as yet. According to sources Asomugha committed to a 5 year contract with the Redskins.

Asomugha is among the few free agent wide receivers who have re-signed new contracts with their current teams or opted for a new club in the NFL offseason. Another player who joins the free agent list is New York Jets' free agent wideout Braylon Edwards."

My head now hurts.

He can quote Dostoevsky for all I care, he's still a cheating arsehole.

I'd never heard the story before of why the St. Louis Blues skipped the 1983 NHL draft.

I was feeling down about Philly signing Asomugha but the news that Washington has signed him also cheers me up.

Wasn't "Barton quotes Orwell" in Revelation as a sign of the end of days?

The fact he's playing Wide Receiver for the Redskins should make it interesting when Washington face Philadelphia and he has to cover himself.

A key witness to the Bryan Stow assault has died suddenly, likely from a peanut allergy.

Since when is a city of 160,000 residents count as a "tiny...town"?

History as seen through Tim Wakefield's eyes.

As a 12 year old, I was riveted to this story and the idea that Saskatoon could have an NHL team.

History as seen through Tim Wakefield's eyes.

This is but a tiny sample of the accomplishments of Tim Wakefield. He certainly has been around long enough. I must quibble with the scene of Lee surrendering the Confederacy to Wakefield. Lee surrendered only the army which he commanded to Wakefield, who then took over from Sherman at the surrender of Joseph Johnston's army in North Carolina, and then supervised the chase and capture of Jefferson Davis. Wakefield's role in history will be hard to duplicate.
