Uruguay is playing for its record 15th Copa America title in the Battle of the 'Guays Sunday against Paraguay. Paraguay reached the final without wining or losing any of its five matches.

My prediction: Para's streak ends and Suarez leads the attack as Uru breaks past Argentina for most trophies, fittingly on Argentine soil at the stadium where River Plate was relegated last month,

I like the new Jets logo. I was hoping for more of an Avro Arrow look, but this will do.

Like the logos, but the maple leaf in the all-word logo looks like an apostrophe.

Winnipeg Unveils Jets New Logos

Looks a lot like an F/A-18 in planform view. Since the F/A-18 is the standard fighter/attack aircraft of the Canadian forces, it makes sense.

For the next few years anyway.

The RCAF is in the process of purchasing Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II jets to replace the F-18A.

The notch in the circle represents "True North", the group that brought the NHL back to Winnipeg.

The circle and leaf logo is a re-imaging of the current Canadian Air Force logo:

Strange that the history of the new Jets is discontinuous with the history of the old Jets
old Jets > Phoenix Coyotes
Atlanta Thrashers > new Jets
(as compared with the NFL Browns who relocated and became the Ravens but left the history behind)
