CFL Pick 'Em, Week 4: Ah, Week 4! Winners begin to separate themselves from losers, starters begin to separate themselves from reserves, and shoulders begin to separate themselves from each other. Wrap that ankle tight and make your picks inside.

Dr J, thanks again for doing this.
Am I missing a point in the Edmonton/British Columbia game for nailing the spread?
(need all the help I can get right now)

Yes you are! Sorry about that. You have 7 points. I've corrected my spreadsheet.

As we drift slowly, but elegantly, toward the land of the Costanza, we'll go it for another week.
Eskimos enter the land of the running horses. They supply plenty of football ice, and Calgary slips badly. Eskimos by 8.
Cat fight in the far west. Usually cat fights are a lot of growling, a lot of posturing, but very little fighting. This time the striped cats overcome the tawny kitties. Hamilton by 4.
Blue Bombers prevailed at home last time against Argonauts. This time the mythical Jason's crew will make the Bombers blue in Toronto. Toronto by 6.
Rough Riders gallop into Montreal and run into some mighty tough skylarks. This is for the birds, and Les Alouettes win big, by 16.

I was crossing the Kyzylkum Desert last week, when I spotted three tents on the horizon. BC by 11. I went into the first tent, where a woman offered me sponge cake, jelly and cream. Winnipeg by 7. In the second tent, another woman offered me the same. Edmonton by 3. Sure enough, in the third tent I was given the same options - sponge cake, jelly and cream. Montreal by 15. As I left, I thought to myself "That was a trifle bazaar".

Calgary wins another tight one to bring their season plus/minus to a whopping +1. Toronto makes a fight of it, but is eventually overwhelmed by the Alouettes. No such fight occurs in Hamilton, where the Tiger-Cats roll over the suddenly lacklustre Roughriders. And the equally suddenly lustre-ful Eskimos beat B.C. to start the season 3-0.
Our veterans are starting to get into a rhythm, with the top three all scoring a solid four points to solidify their position in the standings. Rookie wfrazerjr recovers from a missed Thursday nighter to stay in the hunt.
Week 4 is traditionally a week for either redemption, disappointment, or something in between.
WEEK 4
Hamilton @ B.C. (Friday, July 22)
Nothing has the potential to get you out of an 0-3 funk like a visit from the Tiger-Cats. But don't forget: Hamilton's coming off a pretty serious thumping of the 'Riders.
Winnipeg @ Toronto (Saturday, July 23)
Quarterback crises aboud! Cleo Lemon isn't getting the job done in Toronto, while Winnipeg's lost both their first and second stringers to injury. Can either team score double digits this week?
Edmonton @ Calgary (Saturday, July 23)
How's this for a battle of the titans? The surprising 3-0 Eskimos take their talents to Calgary, who's scraped out a 2-1 record by the barest of margins.
Saskatchewan @ Montreal (Sunday, July 24)
Things don't get any easier for the suddenly tough-luck Riders. As your humble host discovered last week, le Stade Percival Molson is a tough place to visit.
Good luck!
