Peyton Hillis: God Stronger Than Madden Cover Curse: After being voted to appear on the EA Sports Madden NFL 12 cover, Cleveland Browns running back Peyton Hillis isn't afraid of the infamous cover curse. "I'm a Christian man and I don't believe anything could be put in front of me that God can't take away," he said. "I would love to prove everyone wrong and have an exceptional year and not get hurt."
Yeah, if any running back plays in a manner that leaves him open to injury, it's Hillis. The guy takes a beating (and dishes one out, too), and the fact this game cover stuff gets in players' heads means there is probably something to it.

Hillis didn't really start kicking major behind until after being told he was being sent to Lake Erie to suit up for Mangini, so I'm hopeful his ability to not just survive but actually prevail in the face of a dreaded curse will continue to serve him well.
(For those who doubt the possibility of a team and coach-eating curse having been placed on the Cleveland shoreline, please reflect upon the identity of the Dark Lord who was forced to continue coaching the original Browns in their painful death spiral before being disrespectfully terminated as the team was getting ready to move to Poe-ville).
If EA does have a solid curse happening, I don't know why they didn't just put Pennington on both the front and the back of the box and just get it over with.
