Watching Bruins Flyers. Boucher really screwed the pooch on two soft goals, with some assists by the Flyers shoddy defending.

When did the Flyers go to lumberjack school? I haven't seen that much chopping since my last visit to the B.C. interior...

That may be the best game the B's have played in months. Was it a fluke? Do the Flyers have a goaltender or a funnel? Is it possible for Lucic to get a point or only penalties? Stay tuned kiddies - find out Monday.

The goalie carousel in Philly continues. Ron Hextall's likely limbering up for the call in game 2.

It was no fluke. Against Montreal, Boston had to respect the speed of Canadiens' forwards, thus had to be very careful going toward goal and having the defensemen pinch down. Any turnover with players caught down low would result in an odd man rush. It cost Bruins the first 2 games vs Montreal, and nearly cost the series. At the same time, Montreal's defense was able to keep Boston's forwards away from the front of the net, and Price did not give up too many rebounds. While Philadelphia has some team speed, it is not quite up to that of Montreal. Bruins are going to the net, parking in front for the many rebounds being given up by Flyers' goaltenders, and not being cleared out by the defense. I would bet that the Krejci, Lucic, Horton line feel like they have been let out off jail. While Flyers' goalies have been rather shaky, the defense has done little to help.

What? Shaky in the playoffs? The Flyers' goaltending?

You know how you know it's April? The guy in net for Philly has a red lampburn on the back of his neck.
