Brett Favre's Sister, Brandi, Arrested in Meth Lab Raid: Investigators arrested Brandi Favre and four others after Hancock County narcotics officers discovered the active meth lab in a condo complex in Diamondhead, Miss
Here's another story with mug shots. She's been charged with manufacturing of meth, which probably means some serious prison time.

My, they're an unprepossessing lot.
Quitting now since I've managed to use "unprepossessing" in a sentence.

They make the Lincoln conspirators look like MacArthur fellows.
I don't know why the brief story had to include a rehash of Brett's legal troubles.
Brandi has got enough of her own that they didn't mention. She's what they call "well known to law enforcement".
Looks like she should be able to hold her own on the inside.

Fuck people that make meth. Caused my mother to have to give up her rental property because she couldn't afford to pay for it to be cleaned properly.

And I assume that this is considered a sports story because of "guilt by association" or relation in this case?

I love the mug shots (like the 25 year old pictured) of people who smile like it's their yearbook photo.

She has that "witless in the face of self-inflicted adversity" look that I find so charming.
Poor Mother Favre. Tough year to be real proud of your kids.

Yeah, I don't know, this doesn't seem to be a sports story.
Unless she was a linebacker at one point?

That may not be the 25-year-old's booking photo; the rest of 'em are in orange jail garb in their photos....

There's a port on a western bay
And it serves a hundred ships a day
Lonely sailors pass the time away
And talk about their homes
And there's a girl, in this harbor town
And she works, laying lines of meth down
They say "Brandi, fetch another rail"
She serves them meth from a pale
The sailors say "Brandi, you're a fine girl
What a good wife you would be
Yeah your eyes could steal a sailor
From the sea."
Brandi, wears a braided chain
Made of finest silver from the north of Spain
A locket, that bears the name
Of a man that Brandi loved
He came, on a summer's day
Bringing ephedrine and antifreeze, from far away
But he made it clear, he couldn't stay
No harbor was his home
The sailors said "Brandi, you're a fine girl
What a good wife you would be
But my life, my lover, my lady
Is the sea."
Yeah Brandi used to watch his eyes when he told his sailor's story
She could feel the ocean fall and rise, she saw it's raging glory
But he had always told the truth, Lord he was an honest man
And Brandi does her best to understand
At night, when the bars close down
Brandi walks through a silent town
And loves a man, who's not around
She still can hear him say, she hears him say
"Brandi, you're a fine girl
What a good wife you would be
But my life, my lover, my lady
Is the sea"
"Brandi, you're a fine girl
What a good wife you would be
But my life, my lover, my lady
Is the sea"

Goodness, NoMich goes to the bonus round for referential connectivity and reconfiguring that blast o' nostalgia.
Now I've got the tune stuck in me head, probably for the day at least.

Lost from the charts my ass -- I still dig it out once or twice a year at karaoke night, much to the approval of the 50-60somethings in attendance.

I don't think the charges are nearly serious enough. Attempted murder of all nearby condo residents should be added to the list; when you willfully create a drug lab in a shared environment such as that one, you run the risk of explosions harming not only your immediate space/person but those in close proximity as well. If you're going to have a meth lab, do the decent thing and set it out in the middle of 20 acres of unoccupied land so at least you just blow your own dumb ass up and not all your neighbors as well.

Running the risk of an explosion that doesn't happen is not attempted murder. Her charge for generating hazardous waste has a penalty up to 30 years in prison on its own, so that's pretty serious.
