Ravens Steamroll Chiefs: In the most lopsided game of wild-card weekend, the Baltimore Ravens sent the Kansas City Chiefs out of the playoffs Sunday with a 30-7 win on the road at Arrowhead Stadium. Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco was 25 of 34 passing for 265 yards and two touchdowns. The Chiefs had five turnovers and continued their playoff woes at home. "Only the Bengals and Lions have gone longer without home playoff wins," writes Sam Mellinger of the Kansas City Star.

Time to rethink that Jason Whitlock article the other day about the Chiefs?

MW12,

I know many would think so, but you have to remember that the Chiefs were playing with house money already-they way overachieved this year. Yes, I think the coaching staff shake-up played a role in the poor play from the O, but the D actually played really well despite the score (the Ravens consistently started possessions across the 50). I think some concern re Haley might be warranted, but this team just wasn't ready for prime time. You could see it in the O's eyes and hung heads after each failed possession. Even if Haley is the kindest man in the world, young teams have to take their lumps; it is just part of the process of growing as a team.
