Mark Sanchez Befriends Terminally-Ill Boy: The last weeks in the life of Aiden Binkley, 11, were spent texting and calling New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez, who met the boy and learned of his fight with rhabdomyosarcoma cancer. One day while the boy was sleeping, Sanchez asked his parents if he could come over. "He opened his eyes and there was Mark, sitting on the couch," said Aiden's mom Lisa. After the boy's death last week, Sanchez said, "He brought me so much inspiration. ... It's hard to talk about him. He meant the world to me. I felt like I've known him forever."

Great story. Good to see the pro athlete who takes the time to do stuff like this. It also doesnt seem like he goes out of the way to say "hey everyone look at the good things I am doing" Thats what the world needs more of, Players who do this stuff because they want to, not to get a story on TV.

Recently it came out in Pittsburgh that Troy Polomalu goes to Childrens Hospital in Pittsburgh almost every week during the season and more often during the offseason. He never made it a media story and was a little upset that it did come out because he doesnt do it for the publicity.

Aiden would be so proud of the Jets today. Good on Sanchez; you know he was thinking of him today too.
