Spurrier swamps the Gators: The Gamecocks are SEC East champs. "We haven't had many championships so we have to coach them up a little bit," Spurrier said. "But we didn't talk about it obviously until the game was over."
Its really a disappointing division.

I always thought Coach Spurrier would rejoin the SEC by getting the job in Knoxville and then torment Florida from there as he had previously tormented Coach Fulmer from Gainesville.
More of a challenge tormenting people from Columbia and a longer path to get to the point where you have that program at a consistently competitive level, but Spurrier has gotten it done.
I'm all for schools like SC and Miss. State being more of a factor in the conference for a change. It's refreshing.
Plus, Spurrier's no fool. They've got some pretty decent golf courses in S.C. I know some folks that would rather golf there than in Fla.

I was really torn watching this game. I'm a Gator fan hater big time, but learned to like hate them when the "old ball coach" was still in Gainesville. I wanted Spurrier to succeed fail, on the other hand see ther Gators win lose the SEC East. A paradox to be sure, but I suppose [I] was satisfied in a weird way.

Now it's Go Cocks and good luck Gators in whatever Bowl Game they play in. And yeah, I live in Southeast Florida. Aind'm I the lucky guy to have so many big time college schools to root for in (almost) my back yard. For you Tebow haters out there, yes, I'm still a Tebow fan. In my view one of the all time greats in the college game.
