Meggett Gets 30 Years in Jail: Former NFL player David Meggett was sentenced to 30 years in prison Wednesday after his conviction in a South Carolina court on charges of criminal sexual conduct and burglary, he played six years with the New York Giants, three with the New England Patriots and one with the New York Jets.

There does seem to be a pattern. In criminal prosecution, all those previous charges and convictions add up to the absence of mistake, so any claim of consensual sex will not work. He'd used up all of his freebies and sympathetic juries.

Holy shit, what a colossal asshole. I remember liking him as a player. A serial sexual offender needs to go.

More than one person has referred to Danny Woodhead as a "white Dave Meggett", which makes me really nervous.

Logical progression for a serial offender. Glad they put him away before he did some serious damage.
