I wouldn't exactly call it a blown call. It was, after all, a close play, and without the benefit of replay, it is quite often called incorrectly, as it was in this case. The call ultimately affected the outcome of the game. The best thing about it, from the sports writer's standpoint, was the later matchup between Nova and Nava.

Did it really? I don't think the runner called safe ever made it around to score, so we are only talking about the runner scoring from third on the error. That is not on the umpire. It is totally on Burnett.
