NHL Suspends Boynton for Throat-Slash Gesture: Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Nick Boynton has been suspended for the team's season opening game after making a throat-slashing gesture during a preseason game against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

I can remember Bill Callahan making the same gesture to the refs against Oklahoma a couple of years ago. No suspension that I can remember.

That's the second time Boynton has been punished for making a throat-slashing gesture. That's the reason for the suspension.
