MLB Begins Testing Minor Leaguers for HGH: Major League Baseball has begun randomly testing the blood of minor leaguers for human growth hormone. Doing the same in the majors would require players assocation approval. "HGH testing provides an example for all of our drug policies in the future," said Commissioner Bud Selig.

Who you kidding Bud? You test minor league players who might make a grand a week, but you won't even discuss this testing with the MLB players association and millionaires club. You start real testing in the MLB and you are going to lose a lot of your marquee players.

So you will never seriously consider it, no matter what it does to the integrity of the game, cause integrity doesn't put butts in the seats. Your legacy Bud is that your name will be synonymous with some of the greatest scandals and the worst eras in all of baseball history.

I think Selig's move makes sense. If he accustoms minor leaguers to being tested for HGH and other PEDs, it will be easier to convince them as major leaguers that the testing regimen should be in the labor agreement. It also makes it somewhat less likely they will be dopers as pros.

Really? Who do you think is using HGH? I mean, you must have some idea of the list of users if you think the MLB is going to lose marquee players.

Or do you assume that once they institute testing for HGH, no one is going to stop using it and just hope they don't get tested?

As much as I don't like him, his name will also be synonymous with the greatest growth, biggest profits, and largest attendance numbers in the history of baseball.

I think the player union is right to oppose this until they develop a urine test. Do you know how many nerves are in the arm? Pitchers are delicate flowers already.
