Yes Virginia, there's a $100,000 Stephen Strasburg card: Just weeks after a rare Stephen Strasburg card sold for over $16,000 on eBay, there's another one-of-a-kind Strasburg card, but this one is currently going for just more than $100,000...or the price of a small house. Is the phenom worthy of all this attention, hype and $100,000 card?

Attention: sure, why not, publicity is always good
Hype: probably for the time being, then it will eventually die down as with other players in the past
$100,000 care: no freaking way

No, not worth it at all unless you really like to gamble.

The bid is currently at a whopping $999,700.
I'm beginning to doubt that any of these bids are serious.

The current attention and hype is debatable but the rookie card price is clearly a product of the hype and hype alone. Remember when Todd MacFarlane paid $3.5MM for Mark McGwire's record breaking home run ball? At that time, it was a seemingly unimaginable record for a guy with a Hall of Fame career. Now? Worth maybe a tenth of that. Caveat Emptor.
