Boston Puts Orlando in 2-0 Hole: The Boston Celtics beat the Orlando Magic 95-92 on the road Tuesday night and are taking home a 2-0 lead in their NBA Eastern Conference finals series. Paul Pierce scored 28 points and Rajon Rondo had 25 for the Celtics. Dwight Howard scored 30 in a losing effort.

I like the NBA's attempts to get fans more involved in the game.

With the building named after Amway, it made sense that they had the floor slathered with all purpose cleaning products. Nice slippery surface there.

Am I the only one who wants to punch the fan sitting right next to the Orlando bench? The 60 year-old guy with the hot wife & attractive family that he clearly bought from an Amway catalog same as his tickets? I make no claims on the attractiveness or behavior of the future crowds in Boston, but Orlando has the fake breasts of LA with none of the faces and less class.

DeRosa should be fined for tossing a basketball at a heckling fan and then calling for the man's ejection. You don't get to escalate a situation *and* play the injured party.

I only got to watch the highlights, but it looked like KG had a decent game for the Celtics too. Rondo, of course, had some highlight reel stuff. Vince Carter was WAY off from the FT line late in the game ... typical VC.

He must be a pretty dangerous 55 year-old guy.

Charlie Pierce asks the obvious question: how does Daniels' dad get tased while the CEO of Wyndham Hotels just has his seat re-assigned?

The Magic look comically bad compared to their last two series. The Celtics look like a whole different team from the one that ended the regular season. This whole series has been a shocker so far. I realize the Celtics have only won by a combined 7 points, it feels like a lot more.

In the future when you hear people say, 'you can't just flip the switch come the playoffs,' just remember this year's Celtics and Lakers teams.

The Boston Globe cites an Orlando Sentinel report that Buie spent 11 years in jail for second-degree murder, being released in 1989.

None of which the cops knew at the time, one imagines.
