People Will Come: If you buy it, people will come. The property from the movie The Field of Dreams is for sale. You could own a 193 acre farm, along with a baseball field, and a tourist destination that gets approximately 65,000 visitors annually. The current owners even have permission from Universal to sell memorabilia. Along with ownership of the property comes ownership of the Field of Dreams site. The asking price is $5.4 million (via MetaFilter).
To help pay the mortgage, you could also use the property to shoot sequels to such films as "Children of the Corn" and "North by Northwest".
Maybe even "Splendor in the Grass".

Though I'm glad they didn't, I was a bit surprised that they never did a sequel to Field of Dreams. Seems like there were enough loose ends to tie up...what happens when one crosses over into the corn?...a story line adding a few new players...

So, for around $300 each, spofi could buy it.

If only I had $5.4 million, that's only an hour down the highway from me.
