Goalie Martin Brodeur Earns 600th Win: New Jersey Devils goalie Martin Brodeur got his 600th career win with a 3-0 shutout of the Atlanta Thrashers. It's his league-leading ninth of the season and the 110th of his career. Brodeur has more regular season wins than any other goalie in NHL history, 49 ahead of Patrick Roy.

Depending on how long he plays, he could get to 750 before he retires. That'd be a tough number to break...

MeatSaber: Only until the league expands to 48 teams with a European division and a 100 game schedule, between talent dilution and more play 750 will be easy /snark.

Actually I think Brodeur is an all time great and without him Devils would never have had the decade of greatness they did. Heck, that five OT playoff game against Detroit alone should get him in HOF.

With 600 wins and 110 shutouts, he posted a shutout better than once every six wins throughout his career. That's a hell of a number over a 15+ year career.

Just sayin. He averages 38 wins a season, and that's with the lockout-shortened 1995, and last season where he missed 50 games factored into the equation, not to mention his rookie campaign where he only played 47 games. Outside those 3 seasons, he averages 41 wins a season. 750 is by no means a great stretch.

And Brodeur didn't win a 5-OT game vs Detroit. He's only played 4 games against Detroit in the playoffs, the 1995 Finals, and none of those games went to OT. If only the Wings could've put up that kind of fight in 1995...

Longest overtime NHL games. None involved the Devils

My bad about the OT game. But I could swear the Devils played a 4 OT game in the '98 or '99 playoffs.

There were a 3OT (loss) and a 2OT (win) game in the 2000 cup finals against Dallas. I'd bet that's what you're thinking of.
