Sitting in my favorite local bar right across the street from Robert Morris University, I have to say I had a blast. Half the campus was there yelling and going nuts(the ones that were 21). Across the street on campus, they had a huge TV set up in the gazebo for anyone who could get close enough to see.
While a loss by Nova would have caused me to have to throw my bracket away, It was fun to watch and this is what the Tourney is all about.

These small teams seem more and more able to compete these days as long as they dont get in foul trouble. It seems even the small schools have a good first 5-6 players. The bench points or players in fould trouble is always the difference. Thanks for the excitement RMU. Lets go Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

Champions League draw:

Arsenal v. Barcelona
United v. Bayern Munich
Lyon v. Bordeaux
Inter v. CSKA Moscow

Tough draw for Arsenal (obviously). Too bad for the French that their remaining teams have to face off, but you could look at it on the bright side and say that one French team is assured of making the semifinals.

I am going to pick Barcelona, United, Bordeaux and Inter to go through.

holden, don't go crazy on picking underdogs ;) Though I do agree with your assessment.

Europa League:

Liverpool v. Benfica Fullham v. Wolfsburg Hamburg v. Standard Liege Valencia v. Atletico

So again two teams from same country meet in quarters.

My picks: Liverpool, Fullham, Hamburg, Atletic.

That would make the semi matchups Liverpool v. Atletic and Fullham v. Hamburg.

(the ones that were had I.D. that said they were 21)

Fixed. Brings back memories of when I was at Miami University in '92 and we took (I think) #2 or 3 seeded North Carolina to O.T., losing on a missed last second jump shot.

Point and match!!! Some looked a little young, but I had already drank to many Kasteel's to care.

Seriously, right? Although I did try to find a rationale for the others to go through (hangover effect for Inter, Arsenal beating Barca at their own game, Lyon calling upon their superior experience in the top European competition, Ribery and Robben taking over a game or two for Bayern and exposing United's questionable defense), I just could not talk myself into it.

It's spring break in Cedar Falls, so the bars were a bit quieter here for UNI's buzzer-beater last night. However, if we beat Kansas on Saturday, the entire state will be cheering.

Heck, Kansas won by 16 Thursday night, but Lehigh gave 'em fits during that first half. Not many times you'll see a 16 seed actually stand up to a 1 seed, but this game I'm sure had eyebrows raised for quite awhile.

One of these days, we'll see a 16 seed take out a 1 seed. Not sure who or when, but it WILL happen.....

Makes a change from the story about him not getting into Art School, anyway.
