Jaguars Sign Defensive End Aaron Kampman: After finishing last season with 14 sacks, the lowest in franchise history and fifth-lowest in NFL history, the Jacksonville Jaguars signed free agent Aaron Kampman after eight seasons in Green Bay. The terms are not yet disclosed, according to the Florida Times-Union, but the three-time Pro Bowler is probably getting something close to the four-year, $26 million deal defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch signed Friday with Detroit.
Maybe Kampman came in for a look see during the winter, one of the coldest in recorded Florida history, and felt right at home.
Great quote about Bryce Paup wanting to turn around and go home while he was crossing the bridge. As in: right then and there. Median barriers or no median barriers. That's always a highly recommended move. Yeah, Bryce. You de l'homme.
Bryce, you should have just rented a boat in Ortega and skimmed to work every day, for pete's sake.
On the river that, if the head coach ever gets this bunch back within striking distance of the conference championship, will perhaps one day be renamed the St. Jack's.

Seems like a nice move for the Jagulars, though it's a bit troubling to shop for sacks from Bryce Paup's old team. Paup's one of the team's biggest free agent disappointments and is a close friend of Kampman.
Contrary to that link, I don't think Paup recommended Jacksonville to his friend. Here's what he said about us when he got dumped after two years: "I hated it. I'd drive over a big bridge crossing a river every day, and I would just dread it. I wanted to turn around, but I had to go to work."
