The Hoser's NFL Playoff Picks 2009, Week Two: NFL picks that think you got a purty mouth.
I think the Jets have a good chance against the Chargers. They combine the #1 defense and the #1 rushing attack with good special teams. They aren't flashy that is for sure.
Chad Johnson didn't get much help from Carson Palmer against Revis either. Revis will have much more difficulty covering a receiver with an accurate QB like Rivers.

I'm happy that everyone is picking the Cowboys to beat the Vikings. All those "experts" were so accurate last week. The only flaw would be if Childress believes them.
The Cowboys have played 4 straight "season on the line" games, three against hated division rivals. Their season has officially been "saved", and the emotional fatigue and mild drop in sense of urgency may affect them. Meanwhile, the Vikings' season really begins now; they need this more than Dallas does. On top of that, the Vikings are 8-0 at home, 10-0 on turf, and have won their last 5 home games by 20 points or more. Their only problems have been outdoors on grass -- none of that here.
More urgency + dome-field advantage = 34-17 Vikings victory. Though I'd also be happy if the Vikings' won on a late "Hail Mary" where Sidney Rice pushed Terrence Newman aside a la Drew Pearson and it wasn't called.

I think the Ravens will beat the Colts. If it wasn't for an interception and a fumble at the end of the game during the regular season, the Ravens would have stopped the Colts win streak. And I'm definetly not a Ravens fan, but it's a gut feeling.

Hey, Beaverboard, you picked the wrong week to show belated respect for Norv Turner and Wade Phillips.

I remember gnashing my teeth and rending my garments when Norv Turner and Wade Phillips were introduced as the head coaches of the Chargers and Cowboys, virtually one right after another.
If those two end up in the SB, I'll just have to enter a state of stunned amazement, give 'em the credit they're due, and accept it.
I need to find a doctor who will help me learn to fully appreciate and admire the success that Turner and Phillips are currently enjoying, and the wisdom of the team owners who hired them. But old habits die hard.
