SportsFilter: The Monday Huddle:

A place to discuss the sports stories that aren't making news, share links that aren't quite front-page material, and diagram plays on your hand. Remember to count to five Mississippi before commenting in anger.

For six years, global consulting firm Accenture PLC featured Tiger Woods in ads designed to highlight the company's claimed attributes of integrity and high performance.

That relationship is over now.

Accenture ended its association with Woods on Sunday, marking the first major sponsor to cut ties altogether with the golfer since his alleged infidelities surfaced and he announced an indefinite leave from the sport to work on his marriage.

In its first statement since the Woods' scandal erupted, Accenture said the golfer is "no longer the right representative" after the "circumstances of the last two weeks."

AP movie writer sneaks The Damned United into his best of 2009 list. I am looking for the right night to watch this, grabbed a, er, review copy for my blog.

I'm confident that you'll enjoy it bill. Knowing just a bit of the history made for an interesting watching experience, as I knew what happened next.

The Dallas Cowboys aren't that good, Gregg Rosenthal writes today on Yahoo Sports. What was his first clue?

The Cowboys looked they were going to run away with their division at one point. Now, it doesn't look like they are going to make the playoffs. There seemed to be a lot made of them getting beat by Norv Turner who was passed over for the Cowboys hc job. Is Jones going to change coaches again?

First step GM Jerry Jones needs to resign as GM. Then maybe he could find a strong Head Coach that could bring in his own staff. Read this as a call to let even Jason Garret go. Good luck finding a new team Jason. I wish Dan Snyder in Washington would consider you for the job of HC for the 'skins. The Cowboys would benefit.

Betting against the Cowboys in December can make a guy a lot of money. I was not aware when I made the Chargers the Lock of the Week, however, that Philip Rivers has never lost a start in December. That's nuts.

At least Jerry can fall back on watching the cheerleaders in 3-D.

Good week for The Hoser thus far, standing at 10-5 against the spread and 12-3 straight up. Hit the Chargers Lock and have two of three for the Trifecta with Arizona picked to cover the 3.5 tonight.

Sports Filter used to be nestled so nicely in a place of honor on the Verizon Yahoo post-login home page.

Now, Verizon has abruptly stopped supporting its old browser technology without properly notifying customers, aligned itself primarily with MS IE 8, and made life miserable for Firefox users such as myself.

Everything that used to work well is now broken and buggy despite phone support and update downloads, and SpoFi, needless to say, has been cast off into the netherworld, apparently never to be readily glanced at on the home page again.

I feel like sending Mark Mangino and Jim Leavitt after the bastards at VZ Yahoo that messed with my continuity. And Romanowski too, for good measure.

I got to the game too late to see it, but the Jacksonville Jaguars mascot, who jumps off the light towers and uses a zip line to ride into the middle of the field during some games, got stuck 100 feet in midair for 10 minutes before Sunday's game. Closer picture.

I knew I should've become a mascot ... some of the stuff these creatures do sure does look fun!

I think it's funny/disturbing that consecutive items in Sports Illustrated's navigation are Fantasy Dan Patrick Swimsuit Photos.

I'm guessing they'll have to wash the backside of that costume a few times before next week.

First you have Jerry Jones suspending televisions over the middle of the field, and now you have the Jacksonville Jaguars suspending poor defenseless mascots!?!?! It's a good thing that the Jags were only playing the Dolphins. If it had been the Titans, their kicker may have decided to take target practice on the poor little fella.
