The Army and Air Force football teams are both 3-3. Navy is 4-2. It's good to see that the service academies are all this competitive at the same time.
This year's Army-Navy game should be entertaining. No more matchup of two 1-9 teams at old broken railing, crumbling wall Veterans Stadium. Those days were grim.

Speaking of the Olympics, they love (as do most of us British Columbians) to flaunt the incredible artistry of the local First Nations when it suits them - never mind that these people have been pushed off their land, never signed treaties, never defeated in battle, etc.
But when it doesn't suit them, we see debacles like the Hudson Bay Company ripping off one of the most successful and iconic BC aboriginal cottage industries - the Cowichan Sweater.
Your 350 dollar knitted sweater that "nods" to the Cowichan style from the Bay? Not providing employment opportunities to local First Nations. If you aren't going to buy the real thing then don't freakin' rip off the design and get them made in China.

rump,
I agree that First Nations people should never have been "pushed off their land". I also agree corporations passing off items they've "cloned" from authentic aboriginal artwork should not be allowed .. actually, I can't imagine why there would be a market for such items. (I am proud to own several aboriginal artwork items purchased during travels across Canada).
In the region of Canada I live, I'm sure we'd prevent corporations from marketing such items if the First Nations had an interest in creating them. Unfortunately, I'm not so sure the environment we've created in this country gives the First Nation people incentive to do so.

The design for the 2010 Olympic medals has been released.
Very cool. I wasn't that impressed with last year's version.
