'Reggie Miller Stop Pursuing Married Women': Former NBA star Reggie Miller was reportedly the subject of a banner flown over Southern California beaches this weekend. There's no word yet on who bought the banner, but a neighbor of Miller's in Malibu requested a restraining order against him in June for allegedly stalking his fiancee and harassing her with text messages, according to Deadspin.

Just out of curiosity, how did Reggie "The Herasser" Miller even get this woman's cell number to text her?

My guess is that she gave it to him and when her fiancee found out about Reg, she pleaded ignorant.

or, being neighbors, they exchanged numbers with each other in case one needed the other's assistance for house-sitting, borrowing sugar, etc.

You know it's not so abnormal for neighbors to have each other's phone numbers...and in todays age everyone just gives out their cell's as opposed to their home #'s. I think my entire street has both mine and my wife's cell #'s.

Reggie is used to scoring in 3's; it's only natural he'd look for a couple off the court.

Uh-huh, riiiight. The ol', "can I borrow some sugar" technique. Works like a charm.

Not on my block. I could care less about my neighbors to be honest with you but that's just me. I got enough friends in my life and I'm not going out of my way to make more...unless she's as hot as Reggie's neighbor is.

So because she gave him her phone number, it's OK for him to harass/stalk her and threaten her fiance?

This sounds way too much like blaming the rape victim by saying that she wore a slutty outfit.

Reggie, dude, you're a millionaire superstar. You ought to know not to shit where you eat.

I have my neighbour's cell number too, though there haven't been any "provocative photos." Which is good, as he's not my type.

The restraining order was never filed, so it's a bit unfair to conclude that he did the things he was alleged to have done. The guy could just be mad at him for making a play for his fiancee.

'Fiance Ali Kay sent two provocative photos of herself to the NBA announcer during a three-month phone flirtation, the former hoop star's lawyer Marty Singer insisted

I stand corrected. All three of them are scumbags.

But Reggie? 54 texts in four hours? You remind me of this guy

And now that I've read Yerfatma's link, this whole dustup seems more like Alex von Furstenberg's problem than Reggie Miller's. His fiancee reciprocated Miller's interest, at least to a degree, and didn't seek a restraining order. Von Furstenberg did, but he never saw the matter through to actually obtaining one. His plane banner contains a malicious falsehood -- Kay is not married. I agree with Miller's lawyer that this is ridiculous and absurd.

You took the words right out of my mouth. If I was Reggie, I would sue this guy for defamation of character for the banner since it was von Furstenburg's so-called fiancee that allowed this to happen by sending Reggie pics of herself to lead him on.

The difference with Reggie and Jon Favreau's character in Swingers is that maybe the neighbor responded to Reggie's texts with 54 of her own.

Since the chick 'aint married, let's just take that out of the equation.

The apparent "evidence" indicates that Ali Kay sent Miller a bunch of provocative pics. Miller reciprocates by texting her numerous times, presumably to compliment her on her...form...and not to say that she should stop it since she is an almost kinda married woman living conveniently next door.

And from what I have gathered (albeit from skimming the "facts"- I 'aint gonna waste a whole lot of my reading time on this) Reggie didn't actually "put the biscuit in the basket". Huh.

Nice. Reggie did seem to spend some time "mixing the batter" though.
