Mets Exec Challenges Minor League Players to a Fight: Tony Bernazard, the New York Mets vice president for player development, removed his shirt and challenged the Double-A Binghamton Mets players to a fight during a postgame tirade around 10 days before the All-Star break, multiples sources told the New York Daily News. Matthew Artus of the Star-Ledger asks, "Why is Tony Bernazard on the payroll?," accusing him of trying to subvert team management to get the job for himself.
What's he doing with the Mets? That guy is prime White Sox material.

Man, where's deadspin with a link to video of this? I love watching purported people of power lose their shit and act like three-year olds.

Geez, I didn't think the Mets were this bad through the franchise. I voted for Barnazard's firing (71% at this time), and if even a shred of these accusations are correct, I wouldn't even give him the opportunity to resign -- I'd fire him!
