Dirk Nowitzki's Ex-Girlfriend Pregnant: Medical records confirm Dirk Nowitzki's ex-girlfriend's claim that she took a pregnancy test and it came back positive, the Dallas Morning News reported this morning. Cristal Taylor, 37, is in jail on theft charges. She agreed to share her medical records with the newspaper. Taylor's decade-long history of financial crimes includes felony theft, felony forgery and felony stealing, the paper reports. She was arrested at Nowitzki's Dallas home on May 6. "I'm angry, but I do love Dirk with all my heart," she said in a jailhouse interview. "And I want you to know, he still hasn't told me we're no longer engaged."

Maybe that's because...YOU'RE LOCKED UP, CRAZY LADY!!

I find this whole thing sad. So Dirk loves Taylor, and wants to marry her. She loves him. He does a background check on her. It's bad. She gets arrested. Now, she's pregnant, and he wants nothing to do with her. As far as I can tell, she didn't do anything to him. She just has a history of doing bad shit to other people. I want them to get married, raise their baby together, and live happily ever after.

Her being in jail doesn't mean they can't communicate with each other. If her statement is true, and there's no reason to believe that it is, Nowitzki probably ought to stop by and say hello. Before my wife and I were married, I would visit her in the pokey.

That'd be a nice fairy tale ending, bperk, but I'm guessing it won't happen.

I'll also bet Josh Howard is whispering "paternity test" over and over in Dirk's ear. It hasn't been that long (I think it was last season, although it may have been the year before) since J-Ho took a few games off during a pretty important road trip to be at the hospital while his "girlfriend" gave birth to a kid that wound up not being his.

Apparently Dirk is not going to do this ("We would like to reiterate that if her statements as to her pregnancy are true, Dirk will do whatever can be done to ensure the well-being of the child.") and it would be a PR disaster, especially in the red state of Texas.

But if I were Dirk, I would pay her 1 million dollars to terminate the pregnancy and never contact me again.

Anybody who believes that Dirks love for her is more than a figment of her imagination needs to seek a psychiatric evaluation. Sex does not equate to marriage. Plus anyone who believes you should love someone who is, or has been in jail after committing the crimes she has is just stupid and maybe you should marry her. You two deserve each other.

Another Octo-mom that just want to get paid, I say with her record she doesn't have a chance and deserves as much. Lets face it she is s leech on the ass of society. She is 37 years old and responsible, not some poor frail helpless woman.

Another Octo-mom that just want to get paid....

Did I miss something in the story?

Eight kids?

Where?

Y'all coming up with some strange-ass perspectives of this whole deal, given that nobody knows the true backstory. I gotta say though, I did laugh my ass off at THX-133's (I'm a professional numerologist, or at least I have a sister who is seriously into that stuff, and it seems to me that 133 goes better with THX than 1138) post. Peace. Buena suerta to Dirk; I've fallen for some fallen women in my time, and it ain't much fun...

From the FPP: Taylor's decade-long history of financial crimes includes felony theft, felony forgery and felony stealing, the paper reports

Backstory or not, that sentence doesn't paint the prettiest of pictures. Given her documented past and numerous aliases, I haven't heard anyone crown her with the title of "undeserving" when it comes to harsh criticism. I don't know the true backstory of other crminals either, but in most cases, their crimes speak loud and clear.

...and it seems to me that 133 goes better with THX than 1138)

Disagreed, I think it works fine.

Please don't tell me that you're getting soft, THX. Doesn't Pao Gasol have "soft" trademarked?

I've fallen for some fallen women in my time, and it ain't much fun...

Where did you find these "fallen women" that you've fallen for? Can you actually fall for someone that's already fallen? How does that work?

There was just so much I could say about visiting one's wife in the pokey. But I figure I annoy rcade and since he was talking about his wife it was not cool.

Let's just say that I have visited lot's of women in their pokey. At least one of them while she was in jail. And most of them were fallen. The one in jail hasn't gotten up. That sort of thing does make a man soft, I guess.

I'm done.

My wife has not done hard time. I was just saying that if she had been jailed, I would have visited her no matter what the charges were. I'm funny that way.

Dirk Nowitzki was close enough to this woman to make her his live-in fiance and drive hard to the hole and score. Just because she looks like a crook to the rest of the world and has embarrassed him publicly, that doesn't mean he automatically turns off his Dirk feelings. The heart doesn't just shut off when you have good reasons to stop caring about somebody. Even if you're German.

You're a trip THX but thanks, you just made my day!

Don't back pedal now rcade, what she do to get locked up? Com'on now, give us the goods.

Nein!

The worst thing the missus ever did, other than associating with me of course, was when she was a teen. Taking the car without permission, she totaled her mother's brand-new Ford Mustang the week she bought it. I still get a little weepy thinking about it.

That is a heartbreaker! At least you got yourself a little outlaw on your hands, just not the type of outlaw that Dirk was attracted to though.

Just because she looks like a crook to the rest of the world

Looks like a crook? From the article:

Taylor has a history dating back more than a decade of financial crimes in two states, including felony theft, felony forgery and felony stealing. She was also wanted on a probation violation out of the St. Louis area when she was arrested at Nowitzki's Preston Hollow home on May 6.

She's a convicted felon. I think she's a gold digging criminal out to con Dirk of all she can.

There is some small chance she isn't a gold digger trying to con him. But the crook part? That's simply a fact.

Looking like Cruella De Ville doesn't help.

I think Dirk is just thinking that discretion is the better part of valour in this case. I mean what's he going to say? have been taken to the cleaners and now I've got a kid out of the deal?

Hope for the kid's sake that these two can come to some amicable conclusion.
