It's time again for four of the best words in the English language: pitchers and catchers report.
Let's go Mo!

Explain to me again why I should get excited when my supposedly cash-strapped team is paying $8 million bucks to a pitcher playing for someone else in the division and the team I'd love to adopt is spending $100 million dollars on salary, and still getting outspent by 60% by someone in their division? I want to care about the baseball season, I really do. It's just pretty hard.

Because some day that team spending $100 million is going to win. Yeah there's about a 1% chance of it, but do you want to feel like you missed out when it happens? Forget about the dollars and watch a few games. I didn't particularly care about the Angels or the Giants, but I watched that World Series and I don't recall thinking about salaries even once. Rent "Field of Dreams" and get excited again. It's worth it.

Anybody going to see spring training? I'm headed to Arizona next month.

I thought it was: Yankees lose World Series. or Bases loaded for Bonds. or (as a Blue Jay fan) Now pitching: Mitch Williams. Nevertheless, I am looking forward to a season without the labour dispute hanging overhead like a guillotine.
