Teams posting their best weeks yet are BillSaysThisScores!!, The UnNamed, Velocity Boys, Buckeye FC, Hamburglar SV, Yukon United Yukon United had his highest weekly ranking yet and his second top 5 finish. Dover Divers, The Bazooka Joes, Mighty Redmen all posted their lowest weekly rankings yet. The UnNamed is the only one to have reached a personal high water mark on the table, but the red hot Hamburglar SV was only higher (3rd) after week one and who really counts that... The Bazooka Joes is in a freefall, according to the recent ranks table. And, I just have to say I "sold high" by transferring out Tottenham's Keane on Saturday - and then checked the game in progress and he'd scored two and received a red card. So he'll sit for a few weeks and I was ahead of the rush to dump him.

What does lowest weekly ranking mean? 50 is my lowest score for the season? I guess I feel ok about that, as it would have been a great week for me last year. Of course, 15 of those points came from my bench in a lucky swap. That can't be right: my average score is less than 50/week. But I was certainly below 14 this year.

yerfatma - if you look in the 2nd table it says you placed in 21st this past week. The Excel spreadsheet tells me you've never been that low (though you have had scores lower than 50, but just on weeks when everybody else has been doing bleh).

Oh, Goldie. worst/first/worst/first is no way to live. Those boomerang diets don't work on Hollywood starlets, and they'll drive you crazy too, mate. I should know, I'm on that plan myself. As is Cabuki. Jeezus, what example are we setting for the kids here. And rcade's side is starting to show a pulse. He might even get off the schneid soon!

Mid. Table. Mediocrity. But consistent mediocrity at least. Some rise, some fall, but The Foreign Exchange holds steady at 12. Boys and girls in America, I embrace my averageness with no shame.

Man, I thought 59 was respectable, given the extra games, but I was just a point above the group average. And Yukon had Ronaldo, Gerrard (captain) and Adebayor. Just those three alone netted him 62 points. But, no, that's not enough; he also has Robbie "the Red (Card)" Keane, who scores two goals and gets nine points even after being dismissed cheaply. This week, gonna get my act together and gun for the top 5 again.

Maybe I should rename my team Chips Ahoy?

Are you trying to suggest you're never going to pick the wrong captain ever again? I would subscribe to your newsletter.

Maybe I should rename my team Chips Ahoy? I'd put nine hundred dollars on it... Thanks yerfatma - I think we may have traded lyrics before, Billy Bragg as I recall. We'd better not be drawn together in the SpoFi CD swap, as we'd probably give each other the same thing.

For some reason it gives me great joy that owlhouse in Australia is rocking to some good old American bar circuit music made by a group of rough around the edges, not particularly handsome, Brooklyn-by-way-of-Minnesota types. And in exchange we get Kylie Minogue? Thanks a lot. To bring this back into the realm of sport, how about The Hold Steady (certain members of which are big Twins fans) doing their own special interpretation of Take Me Out to the Ballgame? (mp3 file)

And in exchange we get Kylie Minogue? Thanks a lot. I won't hear a word against Kylie. She's so uncool she's not just cool, but iconic as well. Like a hamburger with beetroot.

I think we also got Mark Viduka. Never mind.

Oh, and Colin Hay is chopped liver? And Billy Bragg never beat cancer while maintaining one of the world's best derrieres.

Although they were both born in Melbourne, Mark Viduka's and Kylie Minogue's arses are from different planets. This thread's going nowhere fast, isn't it?

In his (Tank Park) defense, I doubt you've seen a decent shot of Bragg's rear, so please stop moving the goalposts.
