Happy Thanksgiving, Fellow SpoFites!: A sincere wish for you, your families and loved ones: may you all find unlimited reasons to be happy this Thanksgiving, and remember all the things that are great and stupendous and beautiful about this world, and none of the ugly stuff that so often takes center stage.

Our Thanksgiving this year is a happy time. Our son is home from Penn State for the week, we'll be going to the traditional Nashua North vs South football game, and just kicking back. I hope and pray that all of you are as fortunate as I have been this year. Enjoy yourselves.

Turkey booze and my dad cursing the Lions. Hopefully after the stroke (the one thing I can truly be thankful for is that he has retained his charming, curmudgeonly attitude) he will be able to muster up the same disgust for the silver and blue kitty cats.

We've had family in town since yesterday. I've been off work all week. I'm lacking sleep. I feel like I haven't been home in days. I'm already terribly sick of the sight and smell of food. But the alcohol, who makes everything fuzzy and hilarious, oh she is my friend. Have a wonderful holiday.

With apologies to anyone and everyone who celebrates Thanksgiving (or an equivalent holiday) on a different date. Canada, I'm lookin' at you. Also, best wishes to all who can't be with their families and loved ones this season. Godspeed. Let's eat!
