a good time was had by all. there were Spofites and regular fights goals grandmas dancing with men in skirts more fights more goals dancin' Larry more fights and tim thomas actually made save ok, so there are actually more pics from the game than the meetup, but chico should have more SpoFi related pictures. i apologize for any nausea induced from the amateur video

Yay meetups! Thanks for the photos, goddam. I look forward to Mr. Bangs contributions.

It really was a fantastic time -- great to meet goddam and Mr. Frisby! I was stunned by the outpouring of goals -- the Rangers NEVER do that when I'm there!

Too bad y'all couldn't do the meetup in New Jersey yesterday. heh heh Hey, check out this new math rock outfit; Los Primo Nombres.

Alright, here's my meager set, which was far from comprehensive, but should fill in what few gaps were left by Miz Dam. It was a world of fun, and I got less flak than I thought I'd get for wearing my Leafs jersey. We-all don't do this nearly often enough.

And thanks for adding the pictures to the SpoFi Flickr Group too!

SpoFi meetups are one of the very best times you can have. Let's have more!

I don't know who Kari is, but she looks like Michelle Williams.

Color me jealous. It's cool how spofi meetups are built around, well, sports. I can't believe no one signed up Kari though.

Love it guys! Looked like a ton-o-fun. Now if I could only get all the southeastern spofites to join my at the Mullett Toss at the FloraBama on the weekend of April 28 29 and 30 for a few days of drinking music drinking danceing drinking and oh yea, chunking a dead fish as far into Florida as you possably can. Now that is SPORT at its finest. shameless self permotion there, my appologies and back to SPOFI HOCKEY MEET-N-GREETS!

heh, yeah, sorry about that.

Sweet. I hope we can all do the same thing soon at a Blue Jays game up here in the North, eh? I'd say Leafs, but I'd prefer not to take out a second mortgage on the house right now.

How much do Leafs tickets run, Fraze? The seats we had at MSG were only slightly better than the ones I get from a friend, and literally twice as expensive.

posted by ajaffe at 01:44 PM on March 19, 2007

ajaffe, that's only because they were from stub hub. if you look at the ticket, they were really only $44.50. it was the best deal i could get for 6 seats together that were in a decent location. i ended up taking care of most of the commission fee because i felt bad about letting better seats at a better value slip away. i fell asleep one afternoon and when i woke up they were gone. if we want to do this again next season we could probably plan it out a little better and get tickets at face value. shit, we could probably get a whole bunch of tickets at a group rate and sell what we don't need on stub hub. it would probably be close to covering the cost of the tickets that we end up using.

Aha! I wasn't doubting you, goddam, but rather Jim Dolan, cursed be his name!
