Ying Yang Mafia was the big story of the week, hitting a four-pointer to jump from last place into almost first. This must be a dream. Must be. Either that or all the good vibes MrFrisby is sending me in the H2H hockey league are going to the wrong place.

BC by 11 Over Whoever the BC quarterback is. I can't possibly win this, as well as the World Series Pick 'Em, can I? If I do, there is no justice.

Someone is giong to make a game thread like last year right? I so wish I could watch it, unfortunately I'll be at work. And it won't be broadcast in my area anyway. Next season I'm definitely catching some games. You'd think the CFL would be trying to build a fanbase, so why they charge to follow games live online (a la ESPN gametracker style) is beyond me.

B.C. by 1 (OT?) Jason Clermont Over! Over! Over! I would post a game thread, apoch, but I'm probably not going to be at a computer during the game. If I am, though, I'll post.

16-3 at the half. Unless the scoring explodes in the second half, it looks like the Unders'll have it.

Yeah, it's been a bit of a dud so far. Man. Calvillo in particular looks pretty terrible.

I hate the lack of (free) internet coverage online. The best I've found is the CBC which doesn't even break down the play by play. Just every score or every couple of minutes updates the time left.

Looks like everbody should have picked McCallum, unless Montreal pulls off a miracle comeback.

So it looks like a tie between owlhouse and skydivemom. Owlhouse SHOULD win because he managed to pick the EXACT spread, while skydivemom was off by (only) 1 point. Owlhouse is making us North Americans look REALLY bad...

If it works the same way it did during the regular season, Owlhouse gets an three points for picking the exact spread and winner, and skydivemom only gets two.

I don't understand apoch and grum - in the last set of picks I was right on the spread and owlhouse was off by 2 but we both got the same points. Could I have a little more clarification on this please?

You get one point for picking the winner, one point for picking within a certain margin of victory. If you get the winner and the exact spread you get an extra point for 3 instead of just two. So tonight you got one point for the winner and one for being with the margin of victory. owlhouse got the spread exactly plus the winner, so that's three points.

Oh well - second place is pretty good for me. Guess I didn't understand the point system when I joined this little pool.

There is a good chance of revenge in the Ashes contest, skydivemom - you've picked a very strong bunch of players. Again, I can't believe any of this. And I didn't even consult the famous Carrie from Edmonton, either.

skydivemom, here's how you and owlhouse got the same number of points last round: owlhouse: 1 point - picked MTL winner 1 point - picked MTL-TOR spread within margin 1 point - picked BC winner 3 points total
skydivemom: 1 point - nailed MTL-TOR spread but didn't pick winner 1 point - picked BC winner 1 point - picked Bonus 3 points total
Hope that clears things up. Also, here's a complete breakdown of the scoring system.

Toronto stayed true to form in not being consistent enough to put up enough points over Montreal, although I understand a controversial fumble call didn't help their cause (I wasn't able to watch the game, dammit). B.C. stayed true to form in absolutely decimating the Roughriders. So much for the upset pick.
