Would Parcells get more for his soul if he put it up on Ebay?: I was trying to come up with a suitable Faust pun for this, but then it occurred to me that Jerry Jones has taken the back seat to Dan Snyder in the "Greatest Force for NFL Evil" Sweepstakes...
As a Cowboys fan, I'd love to have Parcells, but I don't see how it's even remotely possible that he could coexist productively with Jerry Jones. It would be Jimmy Johnson all over again, but without the honeymoon period, because the only time Johnson tolerated Jones was when he hadn't proven himself in the NFL yet. Parcells has proven himself three times already -- does anyone expect him to give the kid glove treatment that's expected of coaches by the Cowboys owner/GM/hobbyist? Jones wants more than anything to be respected as a football mind, feeling that he was shorted in that area during the Johnson years. Did any other non-player in the Giants, Patriots, or Jets organization get credit for the accomplishments under Parcells?

Jerry Jones is the devil. So long as he owns the Cowboys, I will always root against them. That is all.
