A closed but viewable discussion?
: I don't know if it's just this way on my computer, but this thread is viewable and doesn't allow any more contributions (as the comment box has disappeared).
It's still wide open for me. Try refreshing the page. There are some quirks in the code right now that hopefully will be fixed in the renovation.

Good call, chicobangs. After 2 refreshes, the comment box becomes available to me. It was the only thread with a problem, which is why I thought it had been "shut down".

If this is a new way of shutting a thread down but not deleting it, that's pretty cool in my books. That is actually coming though.

chico: your Arabic phrase immediately brought to my mind that excellent book, "The Taqwacores". That phrase is used a lot in it.
