What's the call on profanities? I wrote "assholes" in one of my comments and only thought about it later. What's the intended audience for this site? Obviously, you don't want kids reading that sort of stuff, but when I was rereading my comment I realized that "assholes" was the perfect word. I'd never use the "F word" in a comment, but I also think that occassional profaniy is okay. What's the policy here?

I'd say that common sense would be the way to go. Use profanity sparingly and only when other choices don't fit. Stay away from name calling, derogatory stuff and overuse and we should be fine. By the way, it was the perfect word.

I personally don't mind the profanity, as long as it isn't directed at a member. I might feel differently if it became clear the site was attracting a large number of kids, but even then, I think most of them could teach us lessons on cursing.
