Wasn't there an international basketball player from a few years back that got upset with a call and head-butted the padded backboard support and collapased with a broken neck?

All in All. This is an event I wouldn't mind having a "steak" in.

So you think Horry gets a little something extra in his pay envelope this week? I hadn't followed the NBA in at least 5 years and decided to start watching again just for this series. I will not watch anymore. Back to the NFL.

I don't like how NASCAR handles their rules & punishment. This is the reason I quit watching Nascar a few years back.

If #5 is that important to him let him go play in the CFL. Maybe him and Ricky Williams can be teammates. Also he could try NFL-Europe or Arena League Football.

The NFL is all about the league makes the players not the players make the league. Two other like events 1)Peyton Manning wanting to wear black hightops to honor Unitas and 2)Jake Plummer and the wearing of Pat Tillman's number on his helmet longer than the one-day tribute the NFL had decided on. In both cases the players were told no. This is also the same league who fines players for being out of team uniform on Sundays (like wrong socks, shoe color, etc).

Does anybody know what the TV ratings are between the mens and womens matches? Guys may know more woman tennis players but are they watching the actual matches. Or do they know the woman players thru all the ads on TV and male targeted magazines. Also ESPN tends to highlight the winners and the most popular (or should I say sexy and or attractive).

The LPGA doesn't get the sponsership money because ratings are as good as the PGA. Didn't the LPGA a few years ago ask there women to dress more sexy to try and increase ratings?

The woman want to be considered equal-thats fine. To get the same payout they should have to play "Best of 5 sets" not "Best of three".

Did anyone see Mike Schmidt (Hall Of Fame Member) on Cold Pizza yesterday? He stated again (1st time-Bob Costas interview) that if steroids were around in his time and the other power hitters of his time were using and benefitting from their use (better #er's) he would most likely used them too.

Landis suspended many players in the Black Sox Scandal not just one. Selig should have to investigate all players suspected of steroid use and punish all the guilty players from the steroid era. Otherwise this just looks like a witchunt. Bonds has never been liked and these people are trying anything and everything to keep him from those records.

I guess Jason Giambi will also be recieving the same punishment. Every current player that has been accused of using steroids should be investigated and punished and or banned.

Oklahoma crushes Missouri,
If you want college football to go to a playoff format then you should want Hawaii in the national title game this year. The big conferences would go nuts if Hawaii was in the title game. Would it be enough to make them dump the useless BCS system? I want a Playoff system, GO HAWAII !!!!!!!!
