Peja for Artest.: Pending league approval, the Indiana Pacers have finally dealt problem child Ron Artest to the Kings for Peja Stojakovic. Who wins?

Kwame Brown suspended for remainder of playoffs.: While Kwame Brown hasn't exactly been a huge contributor in the Wizards' series against Chicago, it's this kind of distraction that never helps a team, especially one with no playoff experience. Can Brown be considered the biggest NBA #1 overall bust now?

Bill Simmons of ESPN's Page 2: has his annual NBA trade value column up (part 2 here). I tend to think that he ranked Steve Francis and Vince Carter way too high, and didn't rank Gilbert Arenas high enough. Also, regardless of Darko's status as the #2 pick overall last year, does anyone really think if they got offered a quality young big man, the Pistons wouldn't take it? I sure don't. I won't give away #1, but it makes an interesting argument, to be sure.

Dennis Green signs a 4 year, $11mil deal to coach the Arizona Cardinals.: After a couple of years out of the league, Dennis Green has returned to the NFL with the historically inept Cardinals franchise. I think this is a fairly interesting match, as the Cardinals desperately need a true football man, and Green wanted to be the guy with whichever team he finally got to coach.

Jeff van Gundy to coach the WNBA's Washington Mystics, : an alarming development if I've ever heard one. The thought of van Gundy attaching himself to Rebecca Lobo's leg when she tussles with Chamique Holdsclaw just rates far too high on the potential comedy scale. The rumors that had him in Golden State or elsewhere next season seemed to make a bit more sense (or perhaps kicking Vince in the tail in Toronto?), but maybe he needs a year or two off in a lower-pressure environment.
