Nothing like a world record ski jump.

Almost ran out of slope.

Shackleford wins the Preakness, so the Triple Crown gets to wait another year. Almost Arthurian at this point.

Ryan Moore: Pebble Beach US Open 'Makes Me Hate Golf'

wfrazerjr, I bet you like tournaments that end in scores in the -20 range--BC Open, maybe? In golf, you're competing not just against other golfers in any given weekend, but the course itself.

Pebble was both tough and fair to all golfers this weekend, as have previous US Open venues, and if they couldn't conquer her like Tiger did in 2000...well, too bad.

Tyson Gay Breaks 200 Meter Record

200 meters in a nutshell

After reading that, Tyson Gay would need the run of his life to beat Bolt on a straight track.

Tyson Gay Breaks 200 Meter Record

...on a straight track.

Usain Bolt's time of 19.19s for the 200 at the 2009 IAAF World Championships still stands. Two-tenths is still a sizable gap.

Five from Kentucky declare for NBA draft

they may be all first rounders, which would mean potentially turning down the big payday. Based on ability from what I've seen, Bledsoe and Orton should reconsider.

Neat. Hopefully more venues such as this can be built in America.

Troy's not exactly a pushover. Would you derive more pleasure in CMU hanging with Georgia for a half or so?

Should be a good game.

Hrm. This is already becoming an interesting silly season for F1. Mercedes buys out Brawn GP. I wonder how the divorce with McLaren will work out...

Louisville Sets Sights on Gruden for Possible Opening

John Gruden's brother played for Louisville, so who knows. The Ville probably can put up the money for him (potentially) and they are expanding the stadium there...

Fisichella to Ferrari

wow, amazing! A pilot in the twilight of his career finally realising what must have been a dream for him since childhood--even for a half season--opening up at home in front of the tifosi no less! It would be truly magical if Fisi was able to truly get a feel for the ride and win at Monza this time around.

This F1 season has been so screwed up--it's amazing to see something, anything good happen for once.

...or what has been said already.
