Pretty good stuff. As my Braves are in Tampa this weekend I'll be taking a closer look...and I can't say the Braves have never benefited from framing.

I didn't know you just drop what you are doing and join The Navy Seals. Do you have to sign a waiver or something?

I saw a documentary on a bull called Bodacious about 10 years ago. This bull's signature move was to get the rider to lean forward and then the bull would jerk his head up and smash the rider's face. And this was before all the safety equipment riders wear now. I think only 8 or 12 guys rode him long enough to get a score and some wouldn't get on him if that's the bull they drew.

This kids parents are morons. Way to teach him. "Just do whatever you want son, we'll back you up. You don't need to follow the rules." It was real easy...Seahawks or uniform. Now the kid and his dumbass parents probably ruined it for everyone else.

As a Braves fan I couldn't be happier with the results of both league championships. The Yankees and Phillies out of it.

But casual fans can abandon a sport, as happened to boxing in my lifetime,
But I think boxing was abandoned because it became less violent. Especially in the heavy weight division. The matches have become hugfests instead of two men punching each other.
As far as the NFL, what is the league supposed to do? Make tackling illegal?
I see the reason to institute some rule changes for malicious shots to the head but sometimes it just happens during play. In some cases the offensive player is \"to blame\" for the shot to the head.

Even if it is, how far will they get facing the likes of Cincinnati, San Diego, Philadelphia, San Francisco, or St. Louis?
Braves have winning records against each of these teams except the Cards.

I think it would be a good idea if the NFL, owners, and players union concentrate on getting their shit together and making a deal before worrying about how many preseason and regular season games are to be played.

I can't believe how much Federer owns Roddick. I had my hopes up, but when Federer came back in the second set tie break down 5-1, I knew it would be another slam for him.

I expect that in the end cooler heads will prevail, all sides will apologize for the incident, and everyone will move on with their lives.
Moats doesn't have anything to apologize for. Is he supposed to be sorry for trying to get to the hospital to see a family member before she died??? Or that he didn't pull over in a timely manner?

The learning disabled angle reminded me of the football game in which a team allowed a mentally handicapped player to score, knowing how much it would mean to that player.
From what I've read these are kids that have ADD (which means my kid can't keep his shit together to pay attention in class so he/she has "ADD"), dyslexia, and the like. It's not like they are special needs kids that have autism and things like that. 100-0, sure that's over the top but the ass whipping was because the losing team was inferior. Don't get me wrong, the winning coach should called off the dogs but I hope this doesn't turn into the winners beat up on the handicap kids.

Anyone ever seen that HBO documentary about the woman who runs PETA? I can't remember her name off the top of my head but as far as psychopaths go she could give Vick a run for his money.

"Drunk Fan Gets Arrested At Arrowhead" "Family Gets Ousted From Chiefs Game For Not Controlling Child" Which headline does everyone think is preferred? When I see the first I'm not sure if I would give it a second glance and just think some guy got a little too out of control. On the second one, I'm reading that article to see exactly what happened. It's almost like the drunk guy gets a pass. Parents who can't controll their children should think twice about where they take them. Games...Airplanes...Restaurants...Movies...maybe stay at home and read some parenting books. I know that's harsh but that's just how I feel. Also, what exactly is "harassment of visiting teams fans"? If it's giving them some shit for cheering for the visiting team, they should expect that. If these fans have the balls to wear the opposing teams jersey and cheer for the away team they should expect to take some from the home fans. Iv'e been to plenty of games away and cheer for my home teams. I enjoy the harassment. It's part of the game. Off topic...Why do some people go to games and wear a jersey or something else of a team that's not even playing? Has everyone seen this or is it just because I live (and am from) Atlanta where everyone is a transplant. I think I'll wear my Steelers jersey to the Falcons, Panthers game. Makes no sense.

"In soccer there are no breaks in play until halftime, unlike football which has a lot of commercial breaks including the three timeouts for each team. And for basketball, each team has 5 timeouts I think, but they do a lot of running back and forth, so they got the endurance for soccer." Scars, I can see your point here but how about when a soccer match is put on hold for 5 minutes while a player lays on the ground like his leg is going to fall off because he got his shoe lace, or boot lace if you prefer, stepped on. I'm just saying that soccer has it's breaks also. It's not just straight running back and forth for 45 minutes each half.
