Why don't any of these millionaires' have a limo??? Or at least use one when they are going to go out and party? Maybe this is something that should be thought of when writting out a $50,000,000 contract. If you get arrested you breach the contract and you have to pay it all back. Simple?

The media does not look stupid in this case. I disagree. I guess they never learned of the assume/ass relation.

Uh, what 100% free university did you attend? There's a difference between paying tuition and actually completing an accredited college curriculum and simply writing a check and receiving a degree in the mail.

They should just get rid of all kicking, except for kickoffs. Those are actually exciting. Send all the kickers back to the empty soccer fields that they came from.

I think the NFL would be way more exciting if they got rid of the punt. Just imagine the scores that would be put up. Punting is like quiting. I know purists will be like, "oh, its all about the battle of field position." BS. Football is about big hits and scoring, bottom line, thats what packs the stadiums and brings in the TV ratings that the league wants. They've already given the offense the advantage with all the penalties on quarterbacks and what-not, it seems like a logical step in the evolution of the game.

maybe its an ego thing? Dude sees his mug on a vidoe game that millions of people play a day....you do the math maybe all the praises that peopel sang to him finlally got to his head. Of course, it might be he's just having a rough start. I think this is more true then people imagine. The guy is at the top of his game, sets a single season record for TD's, ends up on the cover of Madden and decides he only needs to work out 5 days a week instead of 6, loses some endurance and ultimately pays the price. Or the curse could be due to the fact that you don't make the cover unless you have a career year, which means playing 16 games, which means more wear and tear on the body, which leads to injuries. We need some scientists to do a study.

I almost died laughing when I hear shockey on sportscenter complaining about how its impossible to do anything if the other team switches things up on you. Is that the most retarded thing anyone has ever said? Of course they switched it up. You really think an NFL team is going to come out and run the same game plan 2 weeks in a row? Maybe the Giants should think about switching things up a little.

I'd be suprised if some of the teams aren't already using this technology. I mean the quarterback already has a radio in his helmet, why not everyone else. If the crowd is loud enough, it won't matter if they have the radios or not. I walked passed a construction site the other day while listening to my IPOD and the sounds of construction totally drowned out the music. Who's to say that it will help?

I apologize for the Tejada comment, I guess the fact that the Orioles rarely even make it on TV out here on the West Coast skewed my opinion. Although, I wouldn't quite call his numbers MVP calliber, definately team MVP but not close to league.

This guy doesn't seem to be a tight-wad, he just seems to be incapable of making a good baseball decision. Everytime he brings in a potential difference maker, they take a dump. Sosa, Palmiero, Tejada, Lopez, etc... I'm not a big fanof the O's but those are the ones I can think of, I know they paid a lot for a pitcher who took a dump too, but cant even remember the schmucks name. It seems like the whole franchise needs a makeover.

So cal fans are always being blamed for being late to arrive and early to leave. The truth about it is that in LA we have TRAFFIC. I mean real traffic, not cows or tractors on the road. Im talking about moving 3-10 miles in an hour type of traffic. Also, in LA they won't let us tailgate at the stadiums anymore so you can't get there early and party. Another reason that LA fans are not as die hard as the rest of the country is because we actually have other things going on here.

I just moved to Northern California (Chico State!!) for college and found that although Lakers fans don't really care about the Sac Kings, Kings fans despise the Lakers and anything or anybody that has anything to do with them. Its actually kind of funny, Considering that Sacramento has finished second to Lakers and been eliminated from the playoffs by the Lakers for soooooo many years. Its no wonder that Lakers fans don't think about the Kings, because no one remembers the losers.

I would be willing to bet that if he actually makes it through the season healthy, he will retire. I had a pretty bad ankle injury my Junior year of high school and the pain wasn't half as bad as the physical therapy. I can't imagine going through that for 7 straight years. I guess the 92.88 mil takes a little of the sting out of it.

Immediately I was reminded of Finley's walk-off home run to cap a 7 run 9th inning rally that clinched the 2004 NL West title and eliminated the Giants. Somehow that article nor the NYT recap made mention of that. How about the fact that they didn't hit 4 HOME RUNS IN A ROW in that game?? There have been countless walk-off homeruns in big games, this article is about the 4 homers in a row....

Talk about getting kicked in the teeth!
I don't know about a lifetime ban, but he should definately have to sit out for at least 4 games or even the whole season. If he does it again the league will be liable for allowing him back on the field when they knew he was a danger to the other players. He needs a mental evaluation and some stress testing before he should be let back on the field.
