How to Celebrate Easter Like a Sports Fanatic.: Dye the eggs; hide the eggs; find the eggs; eat some candy—ho hum. Isn't it time to break the tired traditions of Easter Sunday as only a true sports nut can?
Nice post, Bo. Our priest (a native of Long island) tried a variation of the first suggestion. He informed all of us New Hampshire parishioners that the Easter Miracle would be our resurrection as Yankee fans. It's been a long-running joke in the parish. Otherwise, it was a nice grilled lamb dinner and NCAA hoops for our house. Happy Easter to all.

I went skiing yesterday with the rest of the heathen. They did have an egg hunt at the base lodge, though, and a bunch of the lifties were wearing bunny ears. Does that count as a religious observance?

Only if, in the middle of a nearly out of control, high speed downhill run, you thought to yourself, Please God, don't let me die out here in these ski pants.
