Riders trade QB Joseph to Argonauts: Kerry Joseph, the Canadian Football League's regular season MVP for 2007 and a 3rd round draft pick head to Toronto in exchange for O.T. Glenn January, D.L. Ronald Flemons, a 1st round pick, and a 2nd round pick.

Ah, Dickenson signed as a free-agent with the Stampeders at the end of January. So I guess there's still a frustrated Kevin Glenn, a redundant player from the Argos (Bishop, Rocky Butler (but he was an unsuccessful Rider already), or Damon Allen? (yeah, right)), or maybe Jesse Palmer will get back in uniform to chase this opportunity? I hear there is a disproportionate number of single women to men in Saskatchewan. Or, who knows ... nothin' wrong with new blood in this league!

Canadian football? Who cares!

MGDADDYO, if you don't care, do the rest of us a favor and keep it to yourself. Shitting on somebody else's thread is taboo; you should know that by now. On topic: At 35, and wanting more money, I guess I can see the logic behind dumping Kerry, but what does Sassy do now? Go with one of the other four guys, or troll free agency? Work out some old NFL guys still capable of playing? Could it be...Joey Harrington or David Carr in a RoughRiders uni? Can you imagine American professional sports teams dealing with a $4 million salary cap? Is that because the league is cash-strapped (my first guess), or because the priorities are that much different?

Sounds like this has definitely contributed to Damon Allen's decision about whether to keep playing or not. See what Brett Favre started?

MGDADDYO, I care. What of it? If this is just a money thing, then the Riders absolutely have to have another plan in the works. They just have to.

This one is a real shocker. They do have some young talent that could prove themselves down the road (i.e., Jyles). But Crandell is, in my opinion, not the go-to guy in the wake of this deal. I expect a follow-up move very soon. Anyone, off the top of their head, know the status of Dickenson? Or, I did hear some rumors about Glenn being frustrated in Winnipeg.
