I did not know that JV teams still existed at any level of NCAA basketball. Good on NC for continuing the tradition, and good on the young men who went out for the JV squad for their dedication to the sport. It takes a lot of work to participate in college athletics, and anyone who does so for the love of sport rather than the reward of a scholarship deserves plenty of accolades.

Kieran Darcy wrote a good article about his time on the JV team at Penn.

What a great article... It really put into perspective what some students are about. They do it for the love of the game... And hats off to Coach Haase... He is doing double duty taking that on... It will pay off in the future when he pulls down the big bucks as a head coach...

GREAT article---like most---I didn't know anything about this---but a great example of student/sports. I am impressed and this is saying alot since I am not a 'big round ball' fan
