Kind of makes him the A-Rod of the NBA. Nothing like your own fans booing (one of) the best players in your league. More like the A-Hole of the NBA. He deserved to get booed at home, and it sounded like all 19,000 were doing just that. I don't care what he was promised by the team, or who lied to him, or any of his complaints. He's being paid something like $30 mil a year, and he has complaints?? He told a reporter at halftime that the fans don't understand what's going on. Really?? Fans aren't stupid. If you don't want to play here, so be it. It's a .500 team even with Kobe, and I think most Laker fans have already moved on. See ya, Kobe. What really sucks is, we lose one A-Hole, and are probably getting another, only this one swings a bat.

Even though registration is free to the LA Times, could we change the FPP link to one where i don't have to sign up? Just wondering.

I also heard later in the game, many in the crowd were chanting MVP as Kobe closed in on his, what was it, 44 or 45 points.

It's a .500 team even with Kobe Kobe's the reason that they're at least a .500 team. I also heard later in the game, many in the crowd were chanting MVP Yeah they did. It's funny to see these so-called fans switch their mind frame about Kobe so quickly since he is the only reason that team is at least competitive.

He's being paid something like $30 mil a year, and he has complaints?? Why would you want to pay $19 million (not $30 mil) to a player that is fine with the paycheck, but doesn't care about winning?

The fans may have just been applying simple psychology to Kobe. Booing bad behavior (being a jerk and malcontent) and chanting good things for good behavior (scoring points). That's a pretty simple message but I bet he doesn't get it either.

The fans may have just been applying simple psychology to Kobe. Well, leave it to people from L.A. to apply psychology. This may be a case where experience comes in handy.

Kobe can't do it all himself, he just thinks he can.

More like the A-Hole of the NBA. How is he an ass-hole!? He's a great player looking for a way out of an organization that refuses to build its team around him. He's been waiting for them to bring in some players to complement him. I say he's right. He;s BETTER than a-rod in that all a-rod wants is money...kobe is looking for a championship! he's a winner.
