Wide Receivers: Jerks.: "Moss is an NFL wide receiver, and NFL wide receivers, by and large, are jerks. Not dirty players, mind you, or murderous off-field thugs—just your basic, run-of-the-mill jerks. At no other position will you find such a Rolodex of malcontents." I hear Jeff George and Ryan Leaf are starting a movement to get equal time for quarterbacks.
Nice article, thanks...

Enjoyed the article, but by the end of it, Curtis is not so much saying that "these guys are jerks", as opposed to saying "this is why it may seem so." If you go down the rosters of an NFL and college and perhaps high school teams, you'll find plenty of players who believe they're not being used properly. The difference between, say, an unhappy linebacker and an unhappy receiver is that your average sports talk radio host is going to have an tougher time understanding -- let alone articulating for an audience -- what the linebacker's bitching about. As for the non-"Just Give Me the Damn Ball" symptoms, those aren't even close to being exclusive to wideouts.

Can't forget uber asshole Andre "Bad Moon" Rison I don't think the article is completely fair. Wide receivers get publicity, assholes get publicity, superstars get publicity. If you're all three then certainly you get that much more.
