The Saints Aren't Marching Anywhere, For Now At Least. : Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco's administration works with Tom Benson and the Saints to keep the team in New Orleans until 2010 at least. Even better, the foundation is now set for negotiations to keep the Saints in the Big Easy for many years beyond the current deal.

I agree with luther70-I am quite pleased that they're staying. The Big Easy deserves a good team.

Yeah, but the $186.5 million the Saints got from the state is a pile of cash. I'm not sure they're worth it.

Thanks, I would have missed this good news. Yeah, but the $186.5 million the Saints got from the state is a pile of cash. I'm not sure they're worth it. As much as that city has struggled, and as much as they love the saints, yes, it's worth it.

Plus, the new team that they have put together, the fan base that returned last season, finally selling that dome out, their new coach, who is awesome by the way. They have a lot of great reasons to stay right where they are.

I always thought it was just a threat but I'm glad they are staying in the Big Easy
