Hidden: Ron Artest the dog lover, in trouble again: Sacramento Kings forward Ron Artest was arrested Monday and excused indefinitely from the team after a woman said he shoved her to the floor inside his home and prevented her from calling 911.

Domestic abuse and animal cruelty, a shining example of humanity at its finest (Mr. Artest has just blown by T.O. as my least favorite athlete).

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: the Artest-Stojakovic trade should have somehow involved sending Ron Artest to Serbia. I'm so tired of this fool.

Let's not talk about Artest anymore.

They should have arrested her, too. The police don't like to do that, they choose to arrest the aggressor or the bigger, stronger one, generally. I have no understanding of how people can stand these volatile relationships with these huge fights. While domestic abuse is abhorrent, I think of domestic abuse like the Burning Bed. No way Farrah Fawcett would have dared breaking her husband's windshield. The team excusing him indefinitely for a domestic abuse arrest is a trend I would like to continue. I would also like the NFL and other teams to do it as well.

At the risk of not jumping to conclusions, does it seem weird to anyone else that although it is not known (or disclosed rather) what his relationship with the woman was, he is not allowed to return to his own home? And that 'the fight moved outside' while he was trying to leave, where upon she launched a pan through his windshield? Now, I think Artest is a moron. Here's my guess. Ron picks up or has brief relationship with some NBA hanger-on, decides to end it, and gets into fight with aggressive woman. Having 0 self-control, he slaps her around, and tries to leave, she follows him outside, realizing that her only chance of a payday is to cause some kind of scene and settle. Who knows, but it sure wouldn't surprise me, as I have always thought of him as being an idiot with no judgement, not a aggressive bully.

sfts2 Your comment would lead me to thing that you are saying women are crazy, money hungry, opportunistic bitches and this one is just after Ron's money. I have never met any women like that. No wait its the other way around.

Artest lives in Chicago for the first part of his career and we hear zip about him. Nothing except he plays defence and is a bit of a hothead. No arrests, warrants, rap albums, strip club shootings or dog not-feedings. Then - boom - Malice in the Palace and now it's something every week. Guy gets moved to Sacremento and can't stay out of trouble. Conclusion: Sacremento makes Ron-Ron go apeshit. That and he liked that fight so much, he's patterned the rest of his career after it. Hey, that's just like Tupac: Dancer in Digital Underground gets a role playing a thug in a movie and decides to act that way for the rest of his life. What's my point? Nothing. I just like dissing Tupac that way.
