If you're like me, you've probably spent many hours trying to move objects using only the power of your mind. When you're not doing that, you're just waiting for hockey season to begin. When you get tired waiting for the usual mainstream hockey site season previews, check out these links for information on up and coming prospects (click on your team and then the message boards), trade rumors, the physics of hockey, hockey badasses, Bruins information, or just some hockey quotes. When you're done with that, I guess it's back to porn again.

Or maybe you're not really like me at all.

I'm like you. I was so distraught over the news report about Tom Hicks selling the Stars that I checked myself hard into the boards in my entry.

I'm like you. But it's tough not having cable and rarely seeing games. It's tough when ESPN picks up the godforsaken NBA and will therefore show fewer games even if I did have cable. It's tough living in DC where the papers know nothing about hockey and are too busy kissing Michael Jordan's ass (Wilbon) or staining their pants because the Redskins are 1-0 (everyone) to care. And mostly it's tough, outside a Golden Era in the early-to-mid nineties, to be a Penguin fan. Thank god the Rangers still suck! (Thanks for the links, Samsonov.)

The leaves are just starting to turn, the weather is getting cooler and the Bruins are just starting training camp. What could be better? Ok, June and the Bruins just winning the Stanley Cup, but I'll take it one step at a time.

My main interest is this whole "cracking down on obstruction" business. Think they'll do it? Gary Bettman is desperate for new fans, and he wants to make the game more exciting like it was ten years ago...but can you really see them calling obstruction penalties when a playoff game is on the line? Tough call. I am bursting at the seams waiting for hockey season to begin. Preseason starts soon...in a week I might get to waltz down the street and watch my Senators beat the Leafs (hey, you know we win sometimes).

Bruins just winning the Stanley Cup Not on the current owner's watch. He's like Connie Mack without the class.
