Absolutely one of the biggest visionaries and most influential of people the sport will ever know. Even though fans born in the past couple decades will glance right over his obit, those who were around back when the AFL was forming, and the league was becoming what is is today, realize how huge he was to the sport. RIP.

I knew this was coming and it's sad to see him go. One of the founding members of the old AFL, North American Soccer League and Major League Soccer, he was truly a man ahead of his time. From what I understand one of the really decent men to walk this earth. R.I.P.

Being in the Kansas City area, I cannot begin to list all of the wonderful things he has done. He will be sorely missed.

Lamar Hunt never watched anything happen,he made things happen.Among the achievments listed above he also owned 10% of the Chicago Bulls, and brought to Kansas City the amusement park Worlds of Fun,Oceans of Fun.but, of course his favorite achievment was the formation of the A.F.L. He also coined the term Super Bowl. What a true visionary and overall great human being who'll greatly be missed, never forgotten.RIP.

Sorry to see him go. But I'll always think of him every time I watch Trading Places.
