The MAC is full of players: who convinced themselves they were headed to Michigan or Wisconsin, only to learn that their 40 times were a couple of ticks slow or their test scores a few points off. They missed out on scholarships supposedly earmarked for them, and they are still a little salty about it.

Nice article NoMich. Here in Michigan we recieve a lot of MAC coverage (since Western, Central, and Eastern Michigan are all in the MAC) and I must say that most college football fans should have a lot of respect for those teams. They have talent and the ability to pull off a big upset. However, I don't see a MAC team in the BCS since they don't have the overload of talent neccesary and competiton with in the league makes it tough to go unbeaten.

Whether it be football or basketball, the MAC is competitive, capable of pulling off upsets, and are really what college sports are all about. It doesn't all have to be about the Florida States, Miami (FL), Ohio State's, and USCs.

"WHOOOO" That's the battle cry of the soon to be MAC'ers, my Temple Owls. As in "WHOOO here at this game is here because they want to be and not because they're paid to be here?" Hoping new coach Al Golden and moving to the MAC can help turn things around, though. Love the "We don't worry about our knees" line.
