David Frost arrested for sexual explotation and assault: The man targeted in a bizarre murder-for-hire scheme by former NHLer (and client) Mike Danton is facing 13 charges following a two-year investigation.

I'm glad justice is going to be served in this case, regardless of what they find. He certainly comes off as a predatory pedophile & general all-around slimeball, and if they find him guilty, then I'm glad he's out of the sexual predator business, the world is better for it, and I hope they lock him down for a long time. And if he's not guilty (hard as that concept is for me to comprehend; there's a ton of evidence, and a long investigation implies they've made a point of doing their homework), then well, good for him.

I wonder if this will have any effect on Mr. Jefferson/Danton's incarceration.

I guess my biggest question would be, what took so long? This guy has been 'involved' with young boys for over ten years. I suppose, better late than never.

Not that shocking when you think about it.

Pyscho, there's been stuff circulating about this freak since at least 1999, there are probably many more than the seven victims alleged at this point. Graham James' name popped into my head as I read about this. The whole issue is sickening, and you're absolutely correct, this will follow those kids for the rest of their lives. They are going to need lots of counciling and comfort. How anyone could allow their children to be coached by this guy in the last 3 or 4 years is beyond me. There have been numerous articles about his unusual relationships with players and a expose on THE FIFTH ESTATE, on the CBC . People must have been blind and deaf and stupid to allow this scum near their kids. Hey, lay off Pee Wee, all he did was masturbate in a public ADULT theatre, he wasn't involving kids, not that what he did was right, but far less serious.

What a scumbag. I'm glad that all of this is finally catching up to him, so they can get him off the streets. As far as Dant-fferson, I doubt that this will have any impact on his incarceration. I'm sure that the lawyers will work up an appeal or two, though.

This guy makes svengalis look bad. I hope this little piggie enjoys the horror's of Canadian prison - Oh, sure you get pancakes, but only one packaged serving of syrup and it's the farthest thing from Pure Quebec Maple Syrup. Eat that Frost!... Well that and the anal rape.

It sounds like Danton's sentence ought to be overturned, then he should be retried on a charge of felony negligence for not succeeding in knocking Frost off. The world would be so much nicer without your having to worry about your kid's coach teaching him/her some questionable techniques. Lesson for parents: Don't let your vicarious fantasies cloud your judgement of the people who are close to your kid. Stuff like this happens so often that it is hardly news any more. It makes me sick.

First off, if convicted, I hope Mr Frost gets whatever becomes him. Second, I wonder how many of the youth league/high school coaches are having sex with their athletes (lots of them, according to badjocks.com). It's a question that we will not know the answer of for a long time, especially in the case of abuse/rape. The same kind of thing probably happens everyday down here, but we don't know about it. Makes me feel really sad.

Update: Frost out on bail

I saw Danton/Jefferson's Dad interviewed on TV last night and that guy is no peach either. He hasn't spoken to his son since he's been sent up to the Big House, Stoney Lonesome, the Thug Jug, etc. But the guy definitely hates Frosty the Blowman. I really hope he goes in, he just looks like a guy that would passed around like a three-year old Hustler. And he's such a smug little piggie, what with his sandals and sunglasses and freedom.

I saw Danton/Jefferson's Dad interviewed on TV last night and that guy is no peach either. I knew this already, but it wouldn't have surprised me even if I didn't. I have to believe that his son emitted warning signs aplenty, asked for help in plenty of ways...but dad didn't want to "ruin his chances" of a big hockey career. How else can you explain parents' choosing to continue having their kids associate with Frost in the face of evidence that something was really wrong? (btw I loved the bit about the maple syrup)

Anyone interested in this story really needs to watch 'The Fifth Estate' special from last year.
