Hidden: Bonds Relived: Barry Bonds is relieved to know that he will not be indicted on counts of perjury and tax evasion. Any thoughts on Bonds, or Bonds' future?

This is a news link about a story that didn't happen.

I don't think a new post is warranted, but there should be an open thread for all Bonds related news (like the one on July 13th.) Like it or not (and I don't) people want to talk/fight about him.

I wish everyone would leave Barry alone. He is in quest for and certainly will be the new home run champ. I hope this is not a black thing. He is the greatest home run hitter of all time, yes better than Babe! If you say Babe did it in fewer games. Well, I am very sure pitching was not as good and frankly blacks not being allowed to play in the majors then..., well you may have already seen Babe's record fall or he may not have ever had the record of 714 even at that time if blacks had been allowed to play. Leave Barry alone..., forever!

I don't know if this thread is worth it. It's like posting a Bush thread on Metafilter. Plus, "Any thoughts on Bonds, or Bonds' future" really just leaves the floodgates open for a deluge of sludge and the inevitably "He's guilty, look at his head" arguing that's definitely going to ensue. What can we say that hasn't been said? There's really no story to discuss. Had he been indicted... maybe then there's something to talk about. And you spelled relieved wrong the first time.
